GlobeTax is pleased to announce that we have successfully transitioned our German tax reclaim processing to the newly launched ‘mass application interface’ (DIP.KaFE), introduced in Summer 2024.
In 2023, the German Tax Authority (BZSt) debuted a digital portal to replace the traditional paper-based application process for withholding tax reclaims. This portal was introduced as part of a broader effort to modernize their tax recovery apparatus and improve transparency.
The initial version of the portal only supported single-claim submissions, creating a significant headache for institutional investors and custodians managing high volumes of claims. With the limited functionality, many market participants ceased submitting applications entirely.
The newly launched DIP.KaFE interface addresses these limitations by enabling bulk submissions through a standardized format. This allows for the submission of multiple claims in a single transmission, reducing manual data entry and minimizing the risk of errors. The portal also supports automated validations and will soon provide real-time feedback, reducing the likelihood of rejections or delays.
By integrating into the DIP.KaFE interface, GlobeTax is now processing German withholding tax reclaims more efficiently. The integration represents our dedication to providing streamlined, technology-driven solutions that keep our clients ahead in an ever-evolving regulatory landscape.
