Executive Director Research
Sharon Hirschhorn is the Executive Director of Research, responsible for enhancing the firm’s knowledge pertaining to tax withholding, legislation, and regulations regarding income derived from cross-border transactions.
Sharon brings to GlobeTax more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining the firm in 2010, she served as a Relationship Manager at The Bank of New York Mellon (BNYM), overseeing Mutual Fund clients utilizing BNYM’s custody and related services. Prior to her time at BNYM, Sharon worked at The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) to develop and implement products and services to support DTCC’s cross-border trading initiatives.
She developed expertise in global securities during a 17-year career at JP Morgan, which included 8 years establishing and managing sub-custody networks for Morgan Guaranty Trust Company and JP Morgan Securities. Earlier in her career, Sharon obtained public accounting experience at KPMG.
