EDS Assist®

If you are a Participant member of the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), you may be able to use the Elective Dividend Service or EDS through your PTS Terminal. This enables your organization to tell DTCC the proportions of your holdings in any given security across all your clients, which are eligible for the different rates of withholding. With constantly changing rules and regulations, not to mention treaty rates, this is not always as easy as it looks. Now there is a solution!

EDS Assist^® is a valuable GlobeTax service that continuously monitors your client's status and residency to establish their eligibility for relief at source. We also monitor the invested securities themselves.

When an Important Notice is issued, EDS Assist^® automatically swings into action and provides one simple file of the EDS allocation information you need, to enter at your PTS terminal to insure that every one of your clients is taxed at the correct rate.

With EDS Assist^® you can tick the box for compliance, risk management and efficiency for your clients. Fees are charged on a rate per record date, irrespective of the number of underlying clients. For additional information please contact us.
